Jimmy Bynum founded Alexander & Preston in 2014 following a career specializing in extended protection plans and warranty. Prior to forming A&P, Mr. Bynum spent 12 years with Cat Financial Insurance Services, the extended protection plan and captive insurance division of Caterpillar, the global leader of industrial equipment. With Cat Financial, he served as Managing Director for the company’s Asia Pacific region, based in Singapore, where he successfully established Caterpillar’s extended protection programs in China and Southeast Asia.
Mr. Bynum has held domestic and international leadership and advisory roles working with global industrial players throughout the course of his career. His multi-faceted background includes business development, marketing, sales and strategic alignments, as well as creation, management, and support of captive insurance entities.
Mr. Bynum served on the boards of the Global Warranty and Service Contract Association (2011 –2017), the Texas Captive Insurance Association (2015-2016), and The Oasis Center (2016 – 2020). He holds a B.S. Business Administration from the University of Mississippi.
Mr. Kasprzycki is an experienced leader in software technology for F&I Administration. For over 12 years, he has worked with both large and small administrators of F&I products. As COO of PCMI, he directs the operational infrastructure of the company to ensure that current and future plans are met. This includes customer relationship services, product development, and project management to see that key deliverables are achieved across all clients, partners, and markets.
Mr. Kasprzycki was a key member of the development team at NAT Inc., which built the SCS Administration System that was acquired by DealerTrack in 2005. In 2009, it then became a privately held company called F&I Administration Solutions, where he gained the position as Product/Implementation Manager. In 2011, he joined PCMI to lead the development and installation of PCMI’s new Policy Claim and Reporting Solutions™ (PCRS) software. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Dominican University and is currently working towards his MBA.
Aleem Lakhani is EVP at AmTrust North America, Specialty Risk Solutions Division. He joined AmTrust in 2003 and established the administrative practice for Extended Warranty. Pursuant to the acquisition of Warrantech, Aleem served as the COO and then Chief Innovation Officer. Today, Aleem is the account executive for Microsoft’s extended warranty program in more than 40 countries and responsible for strategy, innovation, and product developments in Specialty Risk focusing on smart devices in key emerging markets, including home, health and auto.
Prior to joining AmTrust, Aleem held executive management positions with other warranty companies specializing in system engineering, business process engineering and advanced business analytics. Aleem Lakhani holds advanced degrees and qualifications specializing in empirical methods, supply chain management, behavioral economics and law from McGill University, University of Michigan, MIT, Yale, Wharton and University of Toronto. His Masters in Law (LL.M) included specialization in Technology and Innovation Law. His focus includes data privacy, cybersecurity and blockchain.
Stephen K. McDaniel focuses his legal practice on the areas of service contract, warranty, motor vehicle ancillary product, health care, and insurance industries. As a former Certified Public Accountant, Stephen has the unique ability to understand his client’s business and finances in order to more effectively represent the client’s interests. Stephen assists companies with structuring their business operations to ensure compliance with existing law and securing registrations or licensure where required. This includes helping administrators and providers of service contract and ancillary product offerings build their programs from the ground up, including formation, contract drafting, and national licensure. Stephen also assists finance companies with the development and implementation of processes to review F&I products to ensure compliance with state and federal law prior to the finance companies buying those products.
Stephen serves as the Assistant Executive Director and Assistant General Counsel to the Service Contract Industry Council (“SCIC”), a national trade association representing the interests of the service contract industry. Stephen oversees SCIC’s efforts to enact and monitor legislative, regulatory and administrative activity throughout the United States, and lobbies both state and federal legislators and regulators regarding various service contract and related issues. He also sits on the Advisory Council for the California Department of Consumer Affairs Bureau of Electronic and Appliance Repair, Home Furnishings, and Thermal Insulation.
Jim Mostofi is the Global Head of Business Development for the Service Programs Division of AIG Insurance. Prior to joining AIG, Mr. Mostofi spent 10 years at Service Net Warranty, LLC, a leading warranty administrator, where he served in various roles including General Counsel, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
Previously, Mr. Mostofi spent several years advising warranty and non-warranty clients as a corporate attorney with Frost Brown Todd, LLC, specializing in merger and acquisitions and insurance regulatory matters. He began his career as a certified public accountant, where he spent 10 years working at several public accounting firms including the Chicago office of Ernst and Young where he specialized in taxation of large financial institutions.
Dan is Senior Vice President at Hornbeam Insurance, a Property and Casualty Insurance company that specializes in Warranty. He has over 18 years of management experience, in the industry working as the Underwriter and/or Administrator supporting many of the largest warranty programs.
Prior to joining Hornbeam, Dan led Business Development for Service Net, which was acquired by AIG. Dan started and led AIG’s first multinational warranty business team putting together the people and processes required to enable a single business unit to own and manage the world’s leading multi-national warranty programs. Dan’s P&L responsibility included both business development and client management. Dan’s currently lives in Louisville, Kentucky with his wife and two boys after spending time in Chicago and Asia early in his career.
Jesse is an accomplished legal, regulatory compliance, and risk management professional. With over 20 years of industry experience focused on risk identification and mitigation within the highly regulated transportation and insurance industries. He has diverse business and legal leadership experience with thorough understanding of compliance, legal, and operational complexities, and a proven ability to resolve complex operational and legal compliance issues through cross-functional teamwork and collaboration. Jesse focuses on collaboration with business executives to design and implement profitable operational processes, procedures and risk management programs within highly regulated and complex industries of insurance and transportation. He approaches practice as a partnership with clients to provide usable business deliverables and customized engagement programs to maximize value to client.
He has demonstrated success reducing legal and regulatory compliance risk through legal analysis, regulatory settlement agreement negotiation and implementation, process improvement and detailed analytics. Jesse is strategically focused to drive long-term business objectives and reduce regulatory risk and has strong leadership and communication skills with emphasis on big-picture impact, excellence, and risk-based prioritization.
Prior to joining the firm, Jesse served as counsel and leader in an in-house legal department at a large insurer. His expertise lies in the lines of life, annuity, and supplemental health insurance products including long term care.
